It’s been a while since I wrote, it’s been a busy and creative time and I’ve been trying to keep up. Here’s a recap.
I got home from Germany and the Premonition tour feeling very happy and inspired. Big warm thanks to everyone who came!
Trying new songs on stage, letting the process be a part of the performance was liberating, fun and very useful. I could see what worked and what didn’t, you the audience helped me hear these things, it unlocked something in me and the music. The experiment continues…new songs will be brought into light with dates added in September.
The past month I’ve been working on a very special concert, a LIVE ROAD MOVIE. It’s been a collaboration with movie director Gustav Bondeson who made the short film for my last album Psalmer från sjunde himlen. Gustav reworked the 8 minute short to a 45 minute album movie and me and my band added more cinematic quality to the music to support the imagery.
Then we then performed our “soundtrack” live on stage, mixed with dialog and ambient sounds from the film. The result was a dreamy musical journey through swedish summer landscapes, through time and different stages of life. The photos don’t really capture the magic but you’ll get an idea.
It was a one off show at the Rosendal Garden Party, one of my favourite festivals. The day was sunny and warm, we played a great show and the crowd was amazing. I felt happy, relieved (that we didn’t have any technical problems) and a little empty. Probably because it was over too fast, weeks of work for one hour on stage. It’s also what I love about live performances, it has a time and place and then it’s over. It’s something very ancient about it, very different from how we experience a lot of things today, on demand whenever and however we want it brought straight to our couch.
(Many great people involved to make a live show happen, here you see the back of three of them. Koffe on lights, Ola on drums and my manager Arne also called mr G.)
It’s been a few weeks since my movie gig, now it’s Tuesday and it’s raining outside my kitchen window. I’m lingering with my tea writing to you. Summer is usually a busy time for musicians, I´ve got shows lined up all summer.
I’m gonna stay home today and nurse a nasty cold, hopefully I’ll get my voice back in time for a gig in Lidköping on Thursday. Ginger, garlic and lemon are my best friends at the moment.
I will check back soon.

Thanks for the update, Anna 🤗
I have really enjoyed the beautiful concerts of your “Premonitions” tour in May, Anna. The special thing about the “Premonitions” tour was of course your new songs for the upcoming album. You have shared these songs with us on the concert evenings. Thank you very much for that. 🙏🏻 . It was nice to be there when a song is still in the making. Before the tour, I was thinking: “What will the new songs sound like?”🤔
In Lübeck, it took me less than 20 seconds to fall in love with “Black Star” ❤️. I also like “Crossroad”, which you modified a bit during the days. "You Think You Know Me" and "Me And My Friend" sound also so wonderful.
Of course I'm now curious 👀 to see how the “Premonition” tour will continue in September. I'm already looking forward to the continuation of your ‘experiment’ and I'm curious to see which songs will see the light of day.
Btw - Regarding your nasty cold, you can add chicken soup to your friends list. It has always helped me. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your voice is back by Thursday ❤️🩹
Warm regards Thomas😍
Bra där Anna!! Säger det en gång till. Nya skivan är magisk., men glöm aldrig Nashvillecountryn… härlig mix. Svensk vemod och country…blanda och rör om och låt det smaka!
