SHORELINE

The coming of spring

Two wonderful shows in Malmö, now heading back north. Just had a rare sweet moment with my cabdriver. We spoke of kids, work and music. He asked me if I was a hip hop artist, I played him Shoreline.

Still nursing my cold, didn’t experience Malmö this time, just a generic hotelroom. Outside bursting spring.

Between naps I’ve been writing. Words want to come out and I fill the empty spaces. I cover paper napkins, various notebooks and flood my phone with voicememos - melodies, verses, choruses. I don’t know if it’s any good, enjoying the aimlessness and my uncritical mindset. I try to stay out of the way.

A few months back I released dates for the Premonition Tour. The whole idea of these shows is to try out some new stuff on stage. It’s a peak into the raw and unfinished. Songs might fall completely flat, some might get wings. It’s a part of the thrill, I find it very motivating.

That’s all in the future. Right now, I’m still in it deep with my swedish album and my new swedish songs. I’m placing an invitation on each chair - a warm welcome to the newcomers.

Great to have you here!
