A walk in the woods

Stockholm is grey and rainy but it’s ok, my inner child loves December and the weeks leading up to Christmas. Before turning the page on this year I have a new song for you, it’s called Enkelhet.

Enkelhet means simplicity, in german einfachheit which actually is closer to the swedish weight and feel of the word. I was inspired by the harmonies and melodies of old swedish folks songs, still it’s very much a slow moving pop tune with distorted guitars.

There are places that inspire us, heal us, places we go to get closer to ourselves. I find my places in nature, in stillness…this is what I sing about in this tune. One could say it’s a song about escape, escape from the troubles and stress of modern time, an escape from sorrow and pain.

I wanted this song to feel like a John Bauer painting, hopefully I got close. Bring me with you in your headphones.
